The Horizon Europe project NABIHEAL, was launched last week in Barcelona with the first meeting of the international consortium, formed by 14 partners from 7 countries, including research centers, universities, and private companies.
Our experts Marta Rayo Lunar, Oriol Penon and Sergio Vega attended the KoM. Asphalion is proud member of the consortium, ensuring the compliance with regulatory standards during the pre-clinical development of the innovative NABIHEAL product development to facilitate future fast translation to clinical setting. In order to achieve this, Asphalion will:
- Set up a Regulatory roadmap
- Organize a regulatory workshop
- Be in charge of early regulatory engagement
- Outline of Clinical development
- Continuously assessment of Regulatory
NABIHEAL stands for “Antimicrobial Nanostructured Biomaterials for Complex Wound Healing” and is funded under the Horizon Europe Research and Innovation programme, and it aims at solving two unmet medical needs in complex wound healing: on the one hand, affordable treatments for wound infections and prevention of complications during wound healing, and on the other, a strategy to optimize the composition and efficacy of wound dressings. The project will advance on the synthesis of advanced nanostructured biomaterials as an alternative to the commonly used silver-based materials.
