As a company, we try to make an impact for a better, healthier, fairer, and more sustainable world. Together with our clients, employees and society we keep working to generate ideas and implement solutions that contribute to the improvement of health in our lives. We firmly believe in the power of companies to be agents of positive change and, therefore, we actively work to promote these values and objectives aligning our actions with the criteria of Socially Responsible Investment (ESG) and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Here is a summary of our 2023 objectives:

  • Consolidating Asphalion’ s CSR policy into the company’s main goals
  • Reducing our environmental footprint and promote sustainability
  • Enhancing social welfare and contribute positively to our communities
  • Upholding ethical and transparent business practices

 

Actions we have undertaken to reach these goals:

  • Environmental: We created a formal policy, establishing objectives and KPIs, as well as calculated our carbon footprint, and renewed the bronze seal from Ecovadis certification. We reassured our commitment, as well as carried out teambuilding activities related to SDG objectives.
  • Social: We promoted and developed the AsphaWellbeing platform, participated in the Magic Line charity walk, implemented a half-day for carrying out healthy exercises within our working day, and participated in EU-funded projects with social impact. We also identified the annual internationally recognized days that align with a cause or purpose and donated for causes supporting our CSR policy.
  • Good Governance: We created a policy for good labour practices, executed an equality plan, developed a communication strategy for the equality plan along with its associated actions, and actively collaborated in Best Practices Forum By sharing compelling content.

 

With the new year, we will continue working on making a positive impact and create a healthier world defining our SDG objectives and actions for 2024.
