As announced by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) during the PMS Info Day held on Tuesday, the PMS API Beta Release will be published today, 12 June, enabling users to:
✔ Explore the PMS API structure and available medicinal product data
✔ Understand data formats and API capabilities
✔ Evaluate integration opportunities within existing systems and processes
The Public API also offers flexible search capabilities across multiple data fields, allowing users to search using individual criteria or combinations of criteria. This facilitates the retrieval, analysis, and cross-referencing of medicinal product information.
This release marks an important milestone for pharmaceutical companies preparing for the future of the Product Management Service (PMS), IDMP implementation, and enhanced regulatory data interoperability.
However, access to PMS data is only the beginning. To fully leverage these new capabilities, organizations must ensure that their data, processes, and systems are aligned with evolving regulatory expectations.
At Asphalion, we support pharmaceutical companies throughout their IDMP journey, helping them prepare for changing regulatory requirements while maximizing the value and quality of their regulatory data.
As the industry continues to advance towards greater standardization and interoperability, now is the right time to assess your organization’s readiness.
