Our Horizon Europe Projects GreenNanoBone and Medics made it to BioSpain 2026!
During the event, our team was able to talk about the Horizon Europe Projects Asphalion are part of.
The GreenNanoBone project aims to develop a treatment for medication-related osteonecrosis of the jaw (MRONJ) using sustainable, biocompatible, bioactive, and antimicrobial 4D materials derived from food waste. GreenNanoBone transforms agricultural and industrial waste into valuable resources, linking therapeutic innovation with the broader societal goal of reducing healthcare’s environmental footprint.
MEDiCS is an anticancer approach based on the Metabolic Disruption of Cancer Stem Cells with high effectivity across a wide range of solid tumours. It aims to tackle two critical cancer challenges: therapy resistance in colorectal cancer (CRC) and poor prognosis in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC). With the goal of advancing the TRL from 3-4 to 5 through scalable manufacturing processes, GLP in-vivo studies, and the creation of a spin-out for commercialization.
