Three years into the NABIHEAL project, Asphalion experts Marta Rayo Lunar and Sergio Veiga attended the consortium meeting in Maribor, hosted by University of Maribor (UM), to review progress and shape the next steps. The gathering brought together partners to discuss technical advancements and refine strategies for the future.
The event commenced with an enlightening keynote by Dr. Thomas Luxbacher from Anton Paar, Austria, discussing the biomedical applications of liquid-surface Z-potential. This was followed by an engaging project summary from coordinator Judit Tomsen of ICMAB-CSIC. The first day concentrated on progress in Nabiheal’s wound dressing prototypes, culminating in a guided tour of the UM Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (FERI) facilities.
The second day was dedicated to internal deliberations on both current in vitro and in vivo findings, evaluating scale-up operations, Safe-and-Sustainable-by-Design strategies, data management, dissemination efforts, and regulatory activities within the initiative.
We are thrilled with the promising outcomes and remain dedicated to pioneering advanced solutions for chronic wound treatment!
