The European Immunisation Week (EIW) takes place from April 24 to 30, 2022. Its goal is to increase vaccination coverage by raising awareness of the importance of immunisation among families, healthcare professionals, policy and decision-makers, and media. EIW wants to promote the core message that immunization is vital to prevent diseases and protect life by preventing, protecting and immunizing.
This year´s theme, “Long Life for All” aims at reinforcing the importance of equitable and expanded access to vaccines, to contribute to a long and healthy life for everyone and at highlighting the crucial role vaccination plays in global health.
