Press release
Asphalion participated in the 6 month follow-up meeting of Horizon 2020 project nTRACK that took place in Athens on the 25-26th of April 2018. National Center for Scientific Research “Demokritos”, a scientific and technological partner of the consortium, organized the meeting which was attended by all 12 partners from 6 different countries including representatives from nanotechnology, biotherapy, medicine and regulatory affairs fields.
This was the first follow-up meeting of the nTRACK consortium which kicked off in October 2017 with a meeting in Barcelona. The H2020 nTRACK project has the objective to develop nano-imaging reagents for stem cell tracking and biodistribution. In this follow-up meeting, the general status, advances done and the following project steps were discussed and agreed between the consortium members. The topics of discussion in the meeting included administrative and general management aspects, exploitation strategy and dissemination as well as scientific issues.
About nTrack
The main goal of nTrack is to develop a safe and highly sensitive multimodal nano-imaging agent enabling non-invasive, quantitative and longitudinal stem cell tracking and whole body biodistribution using the combination of positron emission tomography-computed tomography (PET-CT) and positron emission tomography-magnetic resonance imaging (PET-MRI), which are both structural and functional imaging modalities that are clinically available. A second goal of nTrack is to establish a predictive model for early assessment of treatment effectiveness for muscle regeneration, based on short-term evaluation of the typical migration and biodistribution patterns of stem cells.
You can follow the project and check for more information on nTrack website.
nTrack: This research project has received funding from the European Union’s H2020 framework programme for research and innovation under grant agreement no. 761031.
