At ASPHALION we are a committed company, proud of our values, always willing to contribute and help, both as a company and as individuals. We are proud to have taken part in the Magic Line, a solidarity initiative led by SJD. The funds collected have contributed to great achievements, such as the recent inauguration of the SJD Paediatric Cancer Center in Barcelona, the first single-speciality hospital in pediatric oncology in Spain and second in Europe.
The SJD Paediatric Cancer Center represents a milestone in the differential treatment applied to developmental cancer with respect to cancer in adults. Its approach to paediatric oncology is based on the assumption that childhood cancer is associated with a child’s development in their first years of life, while adult cancer is related to ageing, which means the biology of both diseases is totally different and needs different approaches.
It is great to know that solidarity can help accomplish dreams, and we will keep supporting such great initiatives!
