Aina Planelles, Senior Business Developer at Asphalion, has participated at the UK Spain COVID-19 Vaccines Roundtable organized by the British Embassy in Madrid and the Consulate General in Barcelona.
This bilateral session brought together key stakeholders to discuss current and future challenges, as well as to identify areas of collaboration in the development of COVID-19 vaccines.
The session began with keynote speeches from the UK Vaccines Taskforce and from the Spanish Agency of Medicines and Medical Devices (AEMPS), followed by two roundtable discussions on ‘Development of COVID-19 vaccine research’ and ‘The importance of collaboration and international cooperation for the success of COVID-19 vaccines’, with representatives from GAVI (the Global Vaccine Alliance) and AstraZeneca, amongst others.
