On July 22nd, we proudly celebrated the final presentation and defense of the doctoral project, “Medical Nanotechnology Application in Regulatory Science” by Asphalion expert Fran Rodríguez. This pioneering industrial doctorate project was a remarkable collaboration between Asphalion and Pompeu Fabra University, aiming to pave the way for new regulatory guidelines for nanotechnology-enabled health products.
Following the presentation, the attendees engaged in a lively and insightful discussion about the significant regulatory hurdles that must be overcome to bring these innovative products to market. This dialogue underscores the importance of our ongoing efforts to advance regulatory science in the field of medical nanotechnology.
Fran’s work represents a significant leap forward in the field of medical nanotechnology, addressing critical regulatory challenges and paving the way for innovative health products to reach the market. His tireless commitment, combined with his passion for scientific advancement, has not only earned him this prestigious PhD but also marked a milestone for Asphalion as our first PhD candidate to achieve this honor entirely within our organization.

We are especially proud to announce that this is the first PhD generated entirely at Asphalion! Fran, who began his journey with us in January 2020 as an internship fellow, embarked on his PhD in October of the same year. His dedication and hard work have culminated in this significant achievement.
