HORIZON EUROPE PROJECTS | CPHI 2025

October 30, 2025

The MISTRAL and the Echilibrist project made it to CPHI 2025 in Frankfurt!!

At Asphalion´s booth at CPHI our team of experts have been sharing information about these two EU-funded projects.

MISTRAL stands for “Microbiome-based stratification of individuals at risk of HIV-1 acquisition, chronic clinical complications, antimicrobial drug resistance, and unresponsiveness to therapeutic HIV-1 vaccination”. The project is focused on analysing the role of the intestinal microbiome in HIV infection with the objective of designing treatments to prevent HIV infection, reinforce the immune system, control the progression of the infection and improve the response to potential vaccinations against the virus.

EChiLiBRiST is a 5-year, EU-funded project that aims to develop a rapid point-of-care test to enable the early identification of febrile children at risk of severe diseases. Early and accurate diagnosis in these cases is crucial to ensure timely treatment and improve clinical outcomes. By advancing innovative diagnostic tools, the project seeks to support healthcare professionals in differentiating between mild and severe infections in children.

ASPHALION is proud to be the regulatory partner in both international consortia, contributing its expertise to the success of these impactful initiatives.
