We are pleased to announce that PragmaTIL, an innovative and cutting-edge project funded by the European Union, has been granted regulatory approval to initiate clinical trials aimed at developing safer cell therapy treatments for cancer patients. As dedicated regulatory partners, we are proud to support the initial launch of these trials, that will be starting at the Vall d’Hebron Institute of Oncology in Spain and Herlev Hospital in Denmark. Approval for the Netherlands Cancer Institute is expected soon, further broadening the reach of this groundbreaking study.
The PragmaTIL project is a testament to the power of collaboration and innovation, exploring new methods to reduce the toxicity of treatments for conditions such as melanoma, lung cancer, and cervical cancer. By adopting a unique decentralized multi-center approach, each participating hospital will independently produce Tumor-Infiltrating Lymphocytes, yet adhere to a unified protocol.
