Two years into the NABIHEAL project, Asphalion experts Marta Rayo Lunar and Sergio Veiga attended the consortium meeting in Zagreb, hosted by IMI, to review progress and shape the next steps. The gathering brought together partners to discuss technical advancements and refine strategies for the future.
The event kicked off with a keynote by Ivona Capjak (IMI) on Good Laboratory Practice, followed by an insightful project overview from coordinator Nora Ventosa (ICMAB-CSIC). A stakeholder engagement workshop fostered collaboration before a guided visit to IMI’s in vitro facility.
Day two focused on internal discussions, with partners sharing updates on research milestones. The meeting wrapped up with a tour of the IMI animal facilities. The final sessions addressed critical topics such as regulatory pathways, ethics, business development, scale-up, and Safe-and-Sustainable-by-Design approaches.
Exciting results are emerging, and we remain committed to developing innovative solutions for complex wound healing!
