The EU-funded project ETERNAL partners gathered in Rome this week to discuss the ongoing progress of the project towards GreenPharma after a year and a half of work. The Eternal Project aims to create a more sustainable development of pharmaceutical manufacture by using and promoting full life cycle approaches covering design, manufacture, use and disposal.
Asphalion expert Diego Hernández attended the meeting to review all the regulatory aspects of the ongoing project, focusing on the green drivers in the pharmaceutical industry. A new proposal of the green perspective of QTPP, the principles of pharmaceutical development based on QTPP and how CQAs can be leveraged to enable, control and ensure sustainable developments with less impact on the environment where some of the topics dealt with. Asphalion, as a Regulatory Affairs partner, is working to ensure that access to safe, high quality an effective pharmaceutical treatment for citizens and animals can be made according to applicable regulatory guidelines and following a sustainable pharmaceutical supply chain and consumption patterns.
