Due to the current situation originated by COVID-19, the European Commission has decided to adopt the proposal to postpone the date of application of the Medical Device Regulation (MDR). This measure intends to allow both MS and economic operators to focus on dealing with the pandemic. Moreover, the delay of the date of application also is meant to ensure a proper implementation of the regulation by all the involved parties, as with the current stress and work burden derived of the health crisis this was not a likely scenario.
