Amazing talk by amazing women yesterday at Barcelona HealthHub quarters at Hospital de Sant Pau in Barcelona!!
On the occasion of International Women’s Day and within BHH Women´s Week, 5 female leaders who have made a mark in the healthcare industry gathered to discuss about challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in the sector.
Estrella García, Sr. Director Global Clinical Operations of Almirall, Mireia Cigarrán, Founder & CEO of VRPharma, Eva Molero, CEO of TeamIt Research,Clara Campàs, Managing Partner & Co-Founder of Asabys, and Asphalion´s Managing Director Núria Romero talked about their first-hand experience in the Healthcare industry.
Among many other topics, some of the highlights were the enrichment diversity brings, generating more value to companies; the good impact in terms of results that female led companies have, and the still existing gap between men and women in C-level positions, despite the growing number of women working in the Healthcare industry and in middle management positions.
As closing remarks, Estrella highlighted that women still lack VISIBILITY to inspire, AMBITION to transform, SELF-CONFIDENCE to spread and convince, NETWORKING to help and MENTORING & ADVICE to guide them.
