Today, we celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, a moment to recognize the essential role women play in shaping the future of science and innovation. Despite their invaluable contributions, women remain underrepresented in STEM fields. Currently, only 31 percent of researchers worldwide are women, and leadership positions in science continue to be predominantly male.
At Asphalion, we are committed to changing this reality by fostering an environment where women can thrive, lead, and drive innovation. Our leadership reflects this commitment:
- Our CEO is a scientist and a woman.
- 71.07 percent of our scientists are women.
- 73.1 percent of our directors are women.
We believe in equality, opportunity, and breaking down barriers to ensure that future generations of women in science have the representation and support they deserve. Science cannot reach its full potential unless everyone has a seat at the table.
A special thank you to our colleagues who shared pictures of themselves as the curious, ambitious little girls they once were. These images remind us that every woman in science was once a child with a dream—one that, with the right support and opportunities, can become reality.
Join us in celebrating the achievements of women in STEM and advocating for a more inclusive future. Watch our special video and help us continue the conversation about diversity and empowerment in science.
