From Asphalion we are proud to have collaborated once again in “La Marató”, a programme created in 1992 with the mission of fostering and promoting biomedical research of excellence, as well as raising social awareness.
This year´s programme was dedicated to mental health: According to recent data for incidence and prevalence, the experts agree that one in four adults will have a mental health problem at some time in their life. There are estimated to be a billion people worldwide who present some mental problem and almost half of them have their quality of life affected in a debilitating way. So, these are very common health problems that represent a very high personal, family and social burden. The research in the field of mental health that will be boosted by the funds raised in “La Marató 2021” will be aimed to have an impact on the hopes and the quality of life of people.
With the onset of the pandemic we set mental health and employee wellbeing as a priority, and made moves to accommodate the different challenges by offering flexibility, hybrid working models and Asphawellbeing, a tailor-made program focused on the integral wellbeing of employees, among others.
At Asphalion, we carried out a team activity about “La Marató” in our annual meeting, where different groups created a collaborative mosaic with the programme´s image, and are proud to have collaborated also with a donation from the company and from our employees, because our team´s mission is our passion: Working together with our clients in order to generate ideas and implement solutions that contribute to improving health in all our lives.
