As SPIOMET4HEALTH enters its final year, the project reaches a key milestone on the path towards a dedicated treatment for Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) in adolescents and young women. With patient recruitment and clinical intervention now completed, the consortium is focusing on final data analyses, as well as the evaluation of safety and efficacy, while preparing for the next regulatory steps.
This Phase II clinical trial, conducted across six European countries, has generated robust clinical evidence supporting a novel therapeutic combination designed to address the underlying causes of PCOS—holding strong potential to reshape its future clinical and metabolic management.
At Asphalion, we are proud to act as regulatory partners throughout the entire SPIOMET4HEALTH project, contributing to the development of what could become the first treatment specifically approved for #PCOS.
The project is now entering its most critical phase, with final safety and efficacy analyses underway and results expected in 2026—offering hope for meaningful improvements in the long-term health of millions of women worldwide.
We congratulate all consortium partners for their exceptional collaboration and commitment, and especially the young women whose participation made this research possible. We remain fully engaged in supporting the journey from strong science to real-world impact.
