Today is World Blood Donor Day. Following this year’s campaign slogan, “Donating blood is an act of solidarity. Join the effort and save lives”, we would like to encourage everyone to join blood donors all over the world to donate. Giving blood is a life-saving act of solidarity and providing safe blood and blood products are an essential element of every healthcare system, since they save millions of lives and improve the health and quality of life of many patients every day.
From Asphalion, we would like to do our bit to help raise global awareness of the need for safe blood and blood products for transfusion, and highlight the critical unpaid contribution of blood donors all over the world.
