On 13 October, our expert Christopher Mann joined the inaugural Swiss Cell & Gene Summit, organised by DINAMIQS in Zürich, a new forum bringing together CGT developers, clinical innovators, investors, and manufacturing experts to discuss the key strategic topics shaping the future of cell and gene therapy.
The summit provided a platform for thought leadership, knowledge exchange, and the development of new collaborations across the global CGT community.
Christopher participated as a panelist in the discussion “How Swiss–Chinese Collaboration Can Create the Biggest Value for the CGT Community.”
Key highlights from Chris’ participation:
- Growing interest in China for clinical development: Many companies are increasingly interested in involving China in the clinical development of advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs), particularly to benefit from regulatory flexibility and improve access to patients with rare diseases.
- Greater clarity on regulatory requirements: While some questions remain regarding specific requirements, the discussion helped clarify the applicable expectations and pathways.
- Opportunities go hand in hand with responsibility: As opportunities for collaboration continue to grow, it remains essential to understand the different development and regulatory pathways available in China and approach them responsibly.
