Today is World Cancer Day, a day to raise awareness of cancer and to encourage its prevention, detection and treatment.
This year´s theme, ‘Close the Care Gap’, marks the second year of a campaign about understanding the inequities in cancer care, taking actions to make the necessary progress to address them, and it is also a call to unite our voices.
At Asphalion we are committed to the fight against cancer, having collaborated in several projects related to cancer research and medicines development, contributing with our expertise to this vital fight.
Cancer can be prevented and controlled by implementing evidence-based strategies for cancer prevention, screening and early detection, treatment and palliative care. It is essential we work together to make cancer treatable, to help diagnosing it at earlier stages, and with endurable therapies driven by innovative technologies and scientific approaches.
There’s a lot we can do, and all our actions matter. At Asphalion, we will continue supporting the goals of World Cancer Day, both as a company and as individuals.
